This is the BEST place ever to bring your dog. We've been taking our Australian cattle dog here for years and have always seen Winston enjoying himself on the doggie cam and when we drop him off and the staff see him they almost always recognize him and greet him with his name and a doggie pat pat on the head. He leaves us gleefully each time, tail wagging as he follows the staff into the inner sanctuary. The staff is just amazing. Haven't met a grumpy member of the team yet- and we've been coming here for years. A true find, for sure!

My dog loves these guys!!

After I clipped my chow chow's nail too short she was really aggressive when I tried to trim next time. I needed someone to trim them while I earned her trust again. Several places wouldn't take an aggressive chow, but Noel did a great job handling her.

Just want to mention that my family has used this facility multiple times in last year with excellent service and convenience. Although today not so much. While we were using the drying station there was a VERY INCONSIDERATE customer using the air blower drying station and was drying his VERY VERY long haired white dog with the blower that filled the whole room with his dogs very fine and long hair that was getting all over the other dogs and customers so much so that I had to go home and take a take my clothes off before going in house, wash my clothes independant from a normal load of clothes and take a shower. I have a FRIENDLY BUT FIRM suggestion: That when this type breed as well as similar breeds that very long fine hair be required to be thoroughly brushed prior to using your public facility !! In my humble opinion (Very Rude Customer).

Great at nails, bathing has everything needed.. appointments might be needed as getting much busier.

Our husky-malamute enjoyed the visit! Her nails were all evenly cut, her fur deshed, and straggly fur trimmed at the back of her legs and rumpus. She smelled and looked great AND she had a light and happy bounce afterwards. No concerns or regrets for the mobile grooming visit!

The last two times I tried to get my dogs nails trimmed here, we walked away not having gotten them trimmed at all. A couple of years ago I had an appointment and brought my dog in and the attendant said “I can’t do it without help and I’m the only one here.” Shortly after, another employee walked in with their off-leash dog which ran up to my nervous, on-leash dog and cornered it. They did nothing about this but watch. Didn’t even try to call the dog away. Then still said they couldn’t do it even though they clearly had help now. Thought I’d try them again and explained what had happened last time with someone very understanding on the phone. They said we’ll make sure there’s enough help and to schedule at a time when it’d be low traffic in the shop. Today I show up for my appointment and nobody is here at all. Not answering my phone calls or their ring door bell. We waited around for 30 mins and nothing. Pretty bad experience all around. UPDATE: The still haven’t even responded to my voicemails I left 3 days ago. Waste of time.

Barkzone is great! It's the staff that make it so. They are friendly and attentive to my dog, they know her. I would LOVE it if drop off were a little bit faster!

My 6-yr-old Great Pyrenees got her first grooming ever and she came out looking and smelling fabulous. They were sensitive to her nervousness and were able to groom her without needing to resort to a muzzle. She's much more comfortable without all the extra floof (IYKYK). Beats trying to bathe her myself in my claw foot bathtub! Highly recommend.

After two serious incidents, we will never ever trust this place with our dog again! During the first incident, while we were overseas, we saw their missed call at around 2am with no voicemail or email. We were extremely frightened, especially since we had previously been told they would only call in the case of a serious emergency involving our dog. I spent that time repeatedly calling them back in distress, but no one answered! 💔 It took nearly an hour to finally reach someone. We later found out they had mishandled our dog’s food storage and we had to urgently purchase new food at our own expense to ensure our dog was fed. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic responsibility in this situation was unacceptable! The second incident was far worse. Just three days into our trip, we received a voicemail saying our 7 lb dog had been involved in a fight. We were initially told that a large dog pinned her down during mealtime. We specifically requested a written explanation of what happened and asked for photos. While they did send photos, they never provided any written explanation. (Not surprised!) Instead, we only received a phone call from a manager, and later, when we picked our dog up, we were given a completely different version of events. The refusal to document the incident in writing, combined with conflicting stories, raises serious concerns about transparency and accountability. After picking our pup up, we discovered bite marks and eye infection following. The fact that dogs of all sizes are mixed together, especially during feeding, shows extremely poor judgment and unsafe handling practices. On a side note, their website/storefront stated we could pick dogs up during break time, but they will charge a fee. We tried to do that once, and the staff showed up rude and fed up insisting us picking up during business hours. Crazy! We are just so incredibly fortunate that our dog is safe, but this experience was completely unacceptable. Between the lack of communication, inconsistent reporting, and questionable safety practices, we strongly advise others to think twice before trusting this facility with their pets!

I just wanted to leave a grooming review for Portland Barkzone. Thank you Taylor! My dog Mauricio has never looked better. You are very professional, on top of scheduling and personable. I apologize for not leaving a tip! The grooming rates went up substantially since my last visit! Barkzone is lucky to have you. Thanks again

I’ve been taking my Samoyed here for years, Myra is great and super nice , and I always request only she sees Cosmo. But there is another girl at this location that NEVER smiles and always looks angry, with awful attitude. I’ve been at this location many many times and each time I smile at her and say hi and she just looks at me angrily. This is such an awful look for this business , and I’m actually afraid of her touching Cosmo. Very rude and unnecessary attitude. I’m only giving a 4 star because of Myra, the other girl would get less than 0.

A friend of mine told me about this place. It was my first time and I am amazed. They did such a good job with our girl. They also cleaned her private area very well. Highly recommend!

My Golden Retriever had a great experience at BarkZone for his spa day! He was greeted by delightful staff members (he did have an appointment) for his bath, nail trim and blowout. He looked ready for the show ring when he emerged 2 hours later. Highly recommended!

Great grooming spot in LO!

I’ve gone to Barkzone and Janel for over 15 years. She always does a wonderful grooming job, is very friendly and polite, and the dogs are groomed in a timely manner. Very pleased.

Myra always performs as expected. Great attitude! and she loves the dogs.
