I love Barkzone I have used their Dog Daycare for more than 2 years and my dogs love it. I recently used their boarding and I was very impressed with the everything. Highly recommend. Everyone is really friendly and they genuinely care about the dogs.

Ever since I found this place for dog grooming, I've never changed my dog's groomer. 100% satisfied!

We have used Barkzone for over 6 years, first at Hillsboro and then at Bethany. Koto can't wait to walk through the front door. Ryan has been the only groomer we have ever used and he is amazingly 👏 We have boarded Koto many times and never have encountered any issues. We can watch on the Webcam and see that everyone who works there loves their job and treats all the furbabies as though they were their own. Between Koto and my granddog Lance we are thrilled to have such a loving environment to entrust our pets to. We have never encountered any person there who is not friendly yet professional. Thank you for providing that.

Yeah, it’s crazy. I wouldn’t take my dog there either. I took him there,when I pick him up.He was wet and I could tell something was wrong with him. I asked them what happened they said nothing. I said why is he wet.They said they just cleaned him. I Walked out. I tried to get him to react like normal. Then I started rubbing him and found bite marks on his neck. I went back in and confronted them. They said nothing happened. And then one of the employees told me. Oh yeah he got bit, but it wasn’t that hard. I took him to the vet. They said he had puncture wound on his neck. It’s just amazing how they would try to hide , any other spot you would think they would normally notify you. I was so mad. It’s taking me a couple years to write this. But every time I see the name, Bark zone it just infuriates me.

Our puppy loved this place! Kind and knowledgeable staff. The doggie cams are a huge plus. Will be back again!

Cooper & Milo get so excited to come here and spend the day with all of their puppy pals. They have video feeds so you can look in during the day and see what your pups are doing. Grooming services and a self wash area are also available.

They went above and beyond and I cannot sing my praises high enough! I went out of town and left my dog with them for 5 days and they took such good care of him. They even sent him home with a cute portrait! I feel that my dog felt loved while I was away and that means the world to me.

Wow I am so happy I met Alex today!! I’ve been bringing my boy Henry in since the merge with Mutley Crew. I want to say off the top: I would give this place less stars originally because Henry always had a different groomer every time he went in and all of them never really seemed too interested in my needs or my little one - like they were just there for the job. The front desk also varies on level of customer service depending on who you get. I’ve met one lady (I think she may have been the owner, I’m unsure) who was incredibly nice and helped me feel better about bringing Henry in. Today, there was a lady there who couldn’t even say thank you when I gave her my card to pay. I understand having a bad day but these animals are like our children and if I get one bad feeling somewhere I’m gone - so it seems being the first face people will see is very important to at least fake smile? Idk. I digress, the reason for five stars is Alex. She is the first one since being here for almost a year to come up to us ask both of our names, introduce herself with a smile, ask me about what I’d like to see, she sat with both of us and told us what she thinks she will be able to do, also she said Henry had no haircut notes in his file which I probably should not have been surprised to hear! She let me know that she updated his profile with my notes and his type of cut. She was just so very personable and sweet and best of all - Henry looks so stinking cute! And I will say: I am very picky with his haircuts. I am that kind of client that has a laundry list of things I like and don’t like and she is one of the tops (if not the best) in Henry’s seven year life that could accommodate for everything. I think it’s people like this who make today’s world seem hopeful. I am going to ask for her every time and tell everyone to ask for her. Thank you Alex!!

My Daisy loves going to play with her friends. My only issue is that she doesn’t get to got potty outside. She is trained to “not” potty inside so when I pick her up, she cannot get outside fast enough to potty. I had to switch to half days so she isn’t suffering all day holding it.

Kayla was AMAZING!!!! She did an EXCEPTIONAL job grooming Onyx!! We will be booking with her again! I'm so happy I found you guys!!!

The last two times I tried to get my dogs nails trimmed here, we walked away not having gotten them trimmed at all. A couple of years ago I had an appointment and brought my dog in and the attendant said “I can’t do it without help and I’m the only one here.” Shortly after, another employee walked in with their off-leash dog which ran up to my nervous, on-leash dog and cornered it. They did nothing about this but watch. Didn’t even try to call the dog away. Then still said they couldn’t do it even though they clearly had help now. Thought I’d try them again and explained what had happened last time with someone very understanding on the phone. They said we’ll make sure there’s enough help and to schedule at a time when it’d be low traffic in the shop. Today I show up for my appointment and nobody is here at all. Not answering my phone calls or their ring door bell. We waited around for 30 mins and nothing. Pretty bad experience all around. UPDATE: The still haven’t even responded to my voicemails I left 3 days ago. Waste of time.

Barkzone is great! It's the staff that make it so. They are friendly and attentive to my dog, they know her. I would LOVE it if drop off were a little bit faster!

My 6-yr-old Great Pyrenees got her first grooming ever and she came out looking and smelling fabulous. They were sensitive to her nervousness and were able to groom her without needing to resort to a muzzle. She's much more comfortable without all the extra floof (IYKYK). Beats trying to bathe her myself in my claw foot bathtub! Highly recommend.

After two serious incidents, we will never ever trust this place with our dog again! During the first incident, while we were overseas, we saw their missed call at around 2am with no voicemail or email. We were extremely frightened, especially since we had previously been told they would only call in the case of a serious emergency involving our dog. I spent that time repeatedly calling them back in distress, but no one answered! 💔 It took nearly an hour to finally reach someone. We later found out they had mishandled our dog’s food storage and we had to urgently purchase new food at our own expense to ensure our dog was fed. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic responsibility in this situation was unacceptable! The second incident was far worse. Just three days into our trip, we received a voicemail saying our 7 lb dog had been involved in a fight. We were initially told that a large dog pinned her down during mealtime. We specifically requested a written explanation of what happened and asked for photos. While they did send photos, they never provided any written explanation. (Not surprised!) Instead, we only received a phone call from a manager, and later, when we picked our dog up, we were given a completely different version of events. The refusal to document the incident in writing, combined with conflicting stories, raises serious concerns about transparency and accountability. After picking our pup up, we discovered bite marks and eye infection following. The fact that dogs of all sizes are mixed together, especially during feeding, shows extremely poor judgment and unsafe handling practices. On a side note, their website/storefront stated we could pick dogs up during break time, but they will charge a fee. We tried to do that once, and the staff showed up rude and fed up insisting us picking up during business hours. Crazy! We are just so incredibly fortunate that our dog is safe, but this experience was completely unacceptable. Between the lack of communication, inconsistent reporting, and questionable safety practices, we strongly advise others to think twice before trusting this facility with their pets!

I just wanted to leave a grooming review for Portland Barkzone. Thank you Taylor! My dog Mauricio has never looked better. You are very professional, on top of scheduling and personable. I apologize for not leaving a tip! The grooming rates went up substantially since my last visit! Barkzone is lucky to have you. Thanks again

Myra is fantastic. We used to take our dog Dexter there RIP. There is simply no better groomer in Portland or beyond.

They’re always so good about making my dog look perfect. I can always get an appointment and my dog doesn’t mind going in so that’s a good sign! Highly recommend these folks!
