Great place for a self-service dog wash. The price is reasonable and they have tons of supplies, shampoos, conditioners, and colognes. @professorthesaintbernard was a happy, clean boy.

Had the worst experience here with the girl at the front desk! She has black hair/bangs and had winged liner. She was so incredibly rude to us!! We usually come here and have a great experience but this girl alone ruined it for us. I have never been treated with such disrespect and will likely not come back unless she stops working here.

I cannot recommend Lilie’s grooming service enough! Seriously, request Lilie at the front desk no matter the temperament of your dog! My dog, Ares, went in looking rough and in need of some serious attention, and Lilie worked her magic. From the moment I walked in, I could tell she genuinely cares about the animals she works with. Ares left looking and smelling incredible, with a fresh haircut and trimmed nails that made him look like a completely different dog. What really stood out to me was how much care and attention Lilie gave him. It was clear that she didn’t just do it for the paycheck—she’s passionate about her job and genuinely wants to ensure the well-being of every dog she works with. Ares was in great hands the whole time, and I could see the love she puts into her work. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending her to everyone I know. If you want a groomer who truly loves what they do, Lilie is your person!

Yeah I’d think twice about bringing your dog here, it seems like they don’t really watch the dogs good enough. This is like the 3rd time my dog has came back like this. Very unprofessional.

So I usually take my dog there for his bath and was trying to setup boarding. As a first time stay, one of the requirements was to have my dog attend a daycare 1-3 days, cool. I gave them a call to setup the daycare, as the email from them stated. The person helping Caitlin, asked if I read the email. I said I did and she quickly said “ great, availability won’t be till April, I have other customers to help bu-bye” and hung up on me. I had more questions but I guess she couldn’t care less. I wish I couldn’t care less like her and give some negative stars for this review. I know this place has 4.5 stars and pretty sure the other staff is awesome as I was always satisfied with interactions at the doggy bath but Caitlin needs to be called out for this one. I’ve attached screenshots of the emails. She didn’t mention a temperament test in any of the emails

This is the BEST place ever to bring your dog. We've been taking our Australian cattle dog here for years and have always seen Winston enjoying himself on the doggie cam and when we drop him off and the staff see him they almost always recognize him and greet him with his name and a doggie pat pat on the head. He leaves us gleefully each time, tail wagging as he follows the staff into the inner sanctuary. The staff is just amazing. Haven't met a grumpy member of the team yet- and we've been coming here for years. A true find, for sure!

The groomers are good, but the front office person questions if you have any concerns about pricing. Offputting.

My dog is consistently spoiled and extremely well cared for at Barkzone. I couldn't be more grateful to have a safe space to drop my pup. Not only are the staff reliable and friendly, but they all go above and beyond to make sure our family is cared for.

My cowboy corgi, Ivy Mae, is almost 3yrs old. She has been a regular at the Montavilla BarkZone for the last 2 years. I drop her off approx 8am and pick her up at 4:00 pm, 1-2 x a week. All I have to say is “wanna go to Barkzone?” and she can barely wait to get together with her extended family of staff and other “kids” spending time there. She LOVES BZ and the staff has been exceptionally kind & supportive & because of that, Ivy is people and dog socialized. I’m so glad to have found my way to Barkzone, Maddie and her EXCELLENT staff. Thanks BZ! (She’s the one in the middle of the room on her back)

Everyone at Barkzone are so incredibly kind and our dog LOVES going there! He is spent at the end of the day and we are always confident he had a great day under their care. Hours are super convenient for us too!👏🏼👏🏼

Myra is fantastic. We used to take our dog Dexter there RIP. There is simply no better groomer in Portland or beyond.

They’re always so good about making my dog look perfect. I can always get an appointment and my dog doesn’t mind going in so that’s a good sign! Highly recommend these folks!
