Dog Training Services
We offer six-week training classes for only $99. This class includes basic obedience commands such as sit, stay, come, etc. All ages are welcome, whether it's your dog's first class or you're looking to refresh with a dog that's had previous training.
All classes are taught by our onsite Dog Trainer, Roxanne McCredie. Roxanne also works part time as a floor handler at the Hillsboro BarkZone.
Meet Our Trainer
Hello! My name is Roxanne McCredie and I am the dog trainer at BarkZone. Here is a little bit about me and how I got here.
I went to college at Oregon State University receiving my Bachelors in Fishery and Wildlife. At the same time, I met my husband, Matt McCredie. When we were finished at OSU, we got married and moved to Aloha, OR. We have a 4 year old boy, Hugh who just started preschool, which he adores.
I decided that I really wanted to be a stay at home mom for my son until he started school. As Hugh got older, I wanted to find something that I love, help out with the family income and still be a stay at home mom. So, I decided, with the help of my father, that I wanted to go to school for my dog training and vet assistant certificates. I completed this through the Animal Behavior College. I performed my dog training externship at the Oregon Humane Society (I can tell you it was hard to not bring every dog home with me).
I have always had a love for animals, especially dogs and am now working at BarkZone Hillsboro, OR in the doggie daycare and as their dog trainer. I teach group basic obedience classes and private lessons at their Hillsboro facility.
